With Funky Iceland we will take you for a walk in Reykjavik. On this tour we will visit most important places in Reykjavik, beginning from Hallgrímskirkja Church bell tower and amazing view over the city and surroundings, than we will walk through Einar Jónsson sculpture garden to City Pond and Reykjavik City Hall to see super-sized topographical map of Iceland and your guide will tell you more about geology and volcanic history.
Just few steps from city hall is Alþingi Parliament House, beautiful cathedral and the site of the first Viking homesteads.
This is not the end of the tour as we will also take a walk to Old Harbour and following the coast we will visit Volcano House for a presentation, Harpa concert Hall and Sólfarið Sculpture (Sun Voyager) amazing sculpture just by the ocean.
We are sure you will remember a lot of facts and stories about Iceland if you take part of this tour.
Dress waterproof and warm clother and put good walking outdoor shoes.
In the evening you will sail with us to hunt for the Northern Lights, a natural phenomenon that you cannot miss coming to Iceland, as these magic lights cannot be seen from every part of the world. During the trip, you will see the Reykjavik’s coast line by night, the Imagine Peace tower (if it is lighted on) and an amazing sky full of stars. This magical tour is a must-to-see in Iceland, let’s enjoy the aurora borealis dancing up there!
Please be aware that due to environmental reasons during certain times of the year our Northern Lights cruises may be delivered on a shared boat with one of our partners. At Reykjavik Sailors we are committed to ensuring the environment is kept pristine by making sure fewer boats are on the water.
If any tour (part of combo) is cancelled on our behalf but purchased ticket was used for one of the tour, full price for the following admission will be charged and difference in prices will be refunded.
If you don’t see a northern lights, you have the option to take the tour again for free.

Departure at 21:00 or 22:00 (depends on period) You should schedule to be at our boat departure point at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
Reykjavik Highlights Walking Tour
Total length of tour: 5 km
Departure at 14:00 – Meeting point: The tour starts at What’s On tourist information centre located on Laugavegur 5 in central Reykjavík. Please be there no later than 10 minutes before your departure time.
